FOOD/NUTRITION - COMMUNITY EDUCATION/WORKSHOPS
Sponsors education programs that focus on teaching nutrition, cooking, safe food handling, reading food labels, and designing and preparing healthy diets for specific populations such as children, seniors, and individuals diagnosed as HIV positive. Participants do not have to be food bank members to attend. Workshops are provided by the Agency Achievement Academy which is Capital Area Food Bank's school for non-profit agencies located in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area.
